Born in Sacramento in 1987 and raised in the golden foothills of California, Michelle Davis is a Florence-based film photographer, educator, and community builder. Her practice explores the intersection of memory and image-making, a journey that in 2024 led her to co-found CAMERA38 —Florence’s inaugural community darkroom and grassroots space for analog resistance. This initiative reflects her commitment to preserving analog traditions while fostering contemporary dialogue.
